Why GamesMom

Built for children learning to read, count and think.

No sign up to play

A child opens a game and plays. No account, no password, nothing to set up first, which is why a teacher can put it on thirty screens in a minute.

Every game teaches something

Each one practices a specific thing: number bonds, sight words, spelling patterns, keyboard skills. The learning is the game itself rather than a reward bolted onto one.

Works on any device

It runs in a browser, so a school Chromebook, an old tablet and a phone all behave the same. Nothing to install, nothing to update, nothing to go wrong.

Made for small hands and short attention

Rounds finish in a few minutes, buttons are big enough for a five year old, and every game is tested on a real phone before it goes live.

What You Will Find on GamesMom

GamesMom is a free games and learning site for children from preschool to high school, and for the parents, teachers and homeschoolers sitting beside them. Every one of our kids games runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to install and no account to make. A child opens a page and plays, which is why the same game works on a school Chromebook, an old tablet and a well used family phone.

The games practice one thing at a time. Math games drill number bonds and times tables, word games work on spelling and vocabulary, typing games build real keyboard habits, and puzzle games stretch planning and patience. Alongside them are quizzes that explain every answer, flashcard decks that drop a card once a child knows it, and printable worksheets that generate fresh problems each time they are printed.

The youngest children have pages of their own, with the activities in the order little ones actually learn them. Preschool games for three and four year olds come first, then kindergarten games for five and six. Older children can follow a subject instead, and teachers can pull a classroom tool up on the board in a few seconds.

Everything here is built and tested by us rather than bought in, checked on a real phone before it goes live, and matched against what schools teach at that age. There is no chat, no messaging between players and nothing a child has to type about themselves. If you want to know who is behind it and how the games are made, read about GamesMom.

Questions Parents and Teachers Ask

Is everything really free?

Yes. Every game, quiz, flashcard deck and printable on the site is free to play and free to print today. There is nothing to buy before a child can start, no trial that expires mid game, and no page that stops halfway and asks for money.

Does my child need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. A child taps a game and plays. Scores and the Recently Played row are kept in the browser on that device, so nothing about your child is stored on our side.

What ages is this for?

Preschool through high school, with the early years covered most deeply. Three and four year olds tap pictures and trace letters, five and six year olds count and sound out words, and older children get times tables, spelling, typing, logic puzzles and quizzes. Each game says what it practices, so you can match it to what your child is working on.

Which games help with schoolwork?

For numbers, start with math practice and the times tables decks. For reading, phonics games come first, then sight words, then spelling games. Science and geography quizzes suit older children who already read well.

Can teachers use these in class?

They are built for it. Nothing installs, nothing logs in, and a game opens on a board or thirty Chromebooks in the time it takes to read out a link. The classroom tools cover a timer, a name picker and dice, and the printables give you a paper version for children who have finished early.

Is it safe for children?

There is no chat, no messaging between players and no way for a child to type anything about themselves. We use anonymous analytics to see which games get played, which is how the Popular row on this page is chosen, and nothing else is collected.
