How to practice your times tables
Choose which times table you want to work on, from 2 all the way to 12, or pick Mixed to get questions from all of them. You will be given 10 multiplication questions, one at a time. Type your answer using the number pad or your keyboard, then press Enter. Right answers turn green and wrong ones show the correct answer, so you learn as you go. At the end you get a score out of 10, and your best score is saved.
Tips for kids
Start with the tables you find easier, like the 2, 5 and 10 times tables, then move on to the trickier ones. If you get stuck, remember you can count up in steps, for example the 4 times table goes 4, 8, 12, 16. Practice a little every day and the answers will start to pop into your head.
Why times tables matter
Knowing your times tables by heart makes so much of math easier, from division to fractions to everyday sums. Short, regular practice is the best way to learn them, and turning it into a quick game makes it far more fun than a worksheet.
